Meditative Reading
Continual joy is a constant stream of happiness that originates from within us nurtured by external beauty. In order for joy to flourish within us, there must be harmony between our external surroundings and our internal state. However, achieving this harmony is akin to navigating through rush hour traffic to reach the off ramp - easier said than done. It requires creating a path and navigating obstacles along the way.
In our lives, there are typically two barriers that obstruct our ability to experience continual joy: forgiveness and acceptance. Forgiveness involves releasing all grudges held against those who have harmed us, from the time of our birth until now. Acceptance entails acknowledging our current situation, the challenges we have faced, recognizing that God is in control, and trusting in His superior ways that surpass our understanding. Through acceptance, we relinquish the need for control.
By practicing forgiveness and acceptance, a state of continual joy may be attained, as hope emerges as a potent force within us. When joy persists even in the most challenging circumstances, hope remains present. This hope, surpassing all expectations, aligns everything else in our lives, deepening our connection with our Heavenly Father, because hope is where His Presence continually resides.
Adoration
Father, I am grateful that hope serves as the anchor for my soul and the wind beneath my wings.
