be still & know

Blessings flow like an oasis of bliss in the arid desert sun. Our perception of Abba expands in stillness, quiet, and solitude. As our perception shifts, our focus also shifts away from the things that distract us and rob us of our peace. As we are still and practice abiding with Abba, our thoughts untangle, making a way for our paths to be illuminated.

Abiding takes intentionality. It takes discipline.

We sometimes get caught up in our routines, lists of to-do’s, priorities, distractions, and preoccupations. These vises keep us from abiding with Abba. They are things the enemy uses to entrap us.

“Abide” means to stay or remain. To abide in the Lord means that we continually receive, believe, and trust that Jesus is everything we need.

What are the benefits we encounter when we spend time abiding?

~ We experience rest and peace

~ Our hearts expand and cultivate growth

~ We are productive in the ways of the kingdom

This happens from a place not achieved by works, words, or good deeds, but in stillness.

When did you last give yourself the gift of abiding with the Creator?

Is it time to recharge your soul as you are still and know?

All you thirsty ones, come to me! Come to me and drink! Believe in me so that rivers of living water will burst out from within you, flowing from your innermost being, just like the Scripture says! John 7:37b-38 (TPT)
