Having a journal and pen could be beneficial for this meditation.
Settle into a comfortable position free from distractions.
It would be wonderful if you could perceive yourself as our loving Father perceives you. If only you could glimpse yourself through those eyes, you would realize your true identity. You would see how truly beautiful you are.
The Father is madly, passionately in love with you just as you are in this moment. He is your biggest cheerleader, waiting for you to find the very best that He has predestined for you.
When you see yourself as flawed, unlovable, or ugly — take a step back. Reach out to the Father for help and ask Him to reveal your true essence to you. You are a beautiful masterpiece!
Think back to your younger, adorable, cute self. You are lovable, always have been. Even in your darkest moments, you deserve love not for what you do, but for who you are.
Today, have a conversation with your younger self and remind her that she is deeply loved, in her adorableness with endless possibilities before her. Remind her that she will never be alone, that she is strong, lovable, and compassionate. She is and always will be perfectly beautiful. Then, remind her never to stray from the truth of how the Father created her to be.
Continue to persevere, beautiful daughter. Ask the Father to continue to reveal the authentic you. Stay present in His Presence and remember to be still so you can recognize Him everywhere.
Little Child Meditation
Locate a peaceful spot and make yourself comfortable. Eliminate distractions and relax your eyes softly.
Gradually direct your focus towards the Father as Abba, the Hebrew word for Papa. Recognizing Almighty God as our cherished Papa deepens our connection significantly. If you find it difficult to see the Father as a nurturing father figure, use this moment to heal the wounds of your overlooked inner child during this meditation.
The people brought children to Jesus, hoping He might touch them. The disciples shooed them off. But Jesus was irate and let them know it: “Don’t push these children away. Don’t ever get between them and me. These children are at the very center of life in the kingdom. Mark this: Unless you accept God’s kingdom in the simplicity of a child, you’ll never get in.” Then, gathering the children up in His arms, He laid His hands of blessing on them. Mark 10:13-16 (Msg)
Let us imagine ourselves in this scenario. Envision being with Jesus as He protects your beloved child's heart from being ignored. Experience love. Experience recognition. Experience worth. Experience belonging.
{Pause in His Presence}
Have you disconnected from your inner child? Within us lies a vulnerable part yearning for Abba Papa to embrace us with joy. There is an emptiness that only Abba can satisfy. Have you attempted to fill this void with others, busyness, success, material possessions, adventure, escapism, or by holding onto past wounds, particularly those caused by your earthly father?
Jesus demonstrated to us the Fatherly love of God that we all desire. This void can only be filled by Him.
Imagine standing before the Father. Picture Him gazing at you with immense love and admiration. Witness His joyful smile as He looks upon His beloved child.
Hear Him speak words of true life from His heart, fulfilling the deep emptiness you seek to have filled.
Listen to His Words:
Little beautiful girl
Run to me
As the world begins to slow
Little beautiful girl
Embrace me
As you chose to let go
Little beautiful girl
Trust me
Even as your heart is tossed about to and fro
Little beautiful girl
Love me
For I unconditionally love you so
Little beautiful girl run into my arms. I am waiting for you.
Spend time with the Father as He mends your inner child and shows you that nothing can separate you from His love. If you like, write down what He tells you.
